The relationship between the student and the instrument needs to be built, in a melodic way, upon the maqam Arabic music, and, in a technical way, based on his own experience in teaching, throughout more than twenty years, at the National Conservatory of Music. I ended up eventually in dividing the courses between technical and melodic ones.
